Discover how gardening can once again be a pleasure, providing gentle exercise in a tranquil environment, rather than a pain in the back! Learn how to select and adapt garden tools to make them body friendly and watch a demonstration of how to use them. Learn how to properly perform garden tasks using techniques that will help prevent pain and injury and learn a simple pre-garden workout that can help prevent soreness.

Abstracting Nature: Photography

This slide illustrated class will demonstrate the tools and techniques for creating abstract photographs. Focus will be on learning to see abstract compositions by identifying design elements like form, shape, and texture. Creative camera and lens techniques will be explored as well as methods to optimize abstract photos with the computer. Time will be allowed at the end of class for independent photographing outside.

Learn to combine citrus fruit and herbs such as rosemary, thyme, and others to make unique infused oils and vinegars. Make a bottle of herbal vinegar to take home to enhance the flavor of food or as a topping for hors d’ oeuvres. Samples and recipes included.
