Autumn Lovers

Autumn Lovers

Albert Ernest Carrier-Belleuse was well known for his figures in terra-cotta and bronze. Autumn Lovers is a romantic era piece allegorically representing the autumn season through imagery like the cornucopia, leaves and grapes in great detail. Such work would differ greatly in comparison with his most well known protegé, Auguste Rodin.
