Stuart Padnos was a businessman, artist, and philanthropist. He and his entire family had, and continue to have, a warm relationship with the Meijer family. Stuart had a deep appreciation for the visual arts and was a significant collector in his own right. He was also a sculptor who utilized scrap metal to create whimsical sculptures that decorate many libraries and college campuses across Michigan and here at Meijer Gardens. Multi-Colored Rings is located near the entrance of the Lena Meijer Children’s Garden and is a bright and colorful exploration of space and point of view. It was sited specifically to bring guests to the creative energy that is this garden space.
