Abundance and Scarcity: Yinka Shonibare CBE and Food Justice

Inspired by the history of agriculture, and particularly fruit-growing, in West Michigan, Yinka Shonibare created a new sculpture specifically for the exhibition of his work at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. In this talk, we will explore his and other contemporary artists’ work that engages with food distribution and food justice.

This talk is led by Jochen Wierich, PhD, Associate Professor of Art History at Aquinas College
