The annual Fifth Third Bank Summer Concerts at Meijer Gardens continues to bring the finest national and international musicians to West Michigan, thrilling music lovers across all generations and genres.
Concerts run June through September and feature the Grand Rapids Symphony, national touring artists, and beautiful, terraced lawn seating—surrounded by spectacular views of gardens and sculpture.
A variety of delicious locally sourced food, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and performer merchandise is available at the Eileen DeVries Concessions Center.

Guests may purchase up to eight (8) tickets per show, per transaction.
Children two and younger are admitted to concerts free.

Feel free to bring a picnic basket to enjoy during a concert – anything from cheese and crackers to takeout is allowed. Outside alcohol may not be brought in.
NOTE: Glass containers and packaging are strictly prohibited inside the Amphitheater. Picnic baskets, coolers, bags and purses are subject to security searches.
We have a variety of affordable and delicious food options at the Eileen DeVries Concessions Center, located inside the gates. There’s something to satisfy most any appetite during the show! All guests ages 21+ who wish to purchase alcohol will need to show an ID, regardless of age, and receive a wristband. View the 2023 concessions menu.

All guests planning to consume alcohol will have their ID checked at entry and will be required to wear a wristband for service.
Alcohol may not be brought onto the premises, including parking lots. Our liquor license permits the sale of beer, wine and specialty drinks at concerts; it does not allow outside alcohol to be brought onto the property.

The policy permits any low-back chair measuring 12" or less from the ground to the front of the seat bottom and 32" to the top of the chair back in its highest position. The Sponsored Seating section is in the Steve and Amy Van Andel East and West Terraces—a special area for Season Ticket holders, at the top of the Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater. Currently, all seats are filled. If you wish to be placed on the waiting list (which numbers more than 120 individuals), please contact our Philanthropy Department at 616-975-3177 for more information.
Concerts take place rain or shine! Bring your ponchos and smaller umbrellas if there’s a high probability of rain. Please be courteous to your neighbors. Do not block their views with large or golf umbrellas while the concert is underway.
Our weather policy states: If there is inclement weather in our area, the concert will be delayed until the threat has passed. The decision to continue a concert after adverse weather passes will be determined on a case-by-case basis, based on consultation with appropriate weather experts. If a storm or tornado situation arises and the concert needs to end, there will be no refunds.
If there is a weather delay, signs will be placed near the box office to update guests. We will also update our website and social media as soon as we receive information regarding potential delays, rescheduling or cancelation.
Each artist has their own photography policy, pertaining to guests and media alike. Meijer Gardens helps enforce these policies by prohibiting all SLR / detachable-lens cameras, iPads, and video-recording / live streaming devices. Typically, still photography is allowed with nonprofessional cameras or phones.
Please be considerate of guests around you when taking photos.
It is our intent to make the concert experience enjoyable for every guest. The Frederik Meijer Gardens Amphitheater is an accessible facility and proudly exceeds ADA regulations. Guests with medical or mobility issues may visit the Box Office window to request special consideration for seating.
If seating in low chairs will be a mobility issue, a limited quantity of standard-height white plastic chairs are available to rent ($10). To rent a chair: Make your payment at the Box Office, pick up your chair nearby and take it to one of the designated seating areas. Our staff and volunteers can assist with this process as well.
Barrier-free areas are marked in blue, at the left and right top sections of the Amphitheater hill. View a map of barrier-free seating locations HERE. Guests wishing to sit in one of these areas may be accompanied by one companion (or more, if room is available). Guests in wheelchairs have priority. A limited number of Meijer Gardens wheelchairs are available for use during the concert, at no charge.Guests may line up outside the gates as early as they please! For more popular shows, many guests arrive several hours before gates open. Placing an empty chair or a “place holder” is not allowed. Guests must be physically present to reserve their spot in line. The box office opens at 4 pm.
