For the spring edition of our quarterly book group we turn to the art world, discussing Daniel Stone’s The Food Explorer: The True Adventures of the Globe-Trotting Botanist Who Transformed What America Eats.

This exhibition of new work explores the intimate relationship between humankind and nature. At the heart of the exhibition is an installation offering the viewer a solitary, sublime experience of being enveloped in nature. Accompanying mixed media artworks examine the womb as a natural cocoon.
A marvelous exhibition beginning in November and running through the entire month of December and part of January each year. It includes 46 trees and cultural displays, over 300,000 colorful lights both indoors and outdoors, choirs, rooftop reindeer, as well as the beloved Railway Garden.
