Read & Explore:
Art and Gardens Book Group
Please join us as we explore Edward Abbey’s classic Desert Solitaire. Considered the Thoreau of the American West, Abbey spent two seasons as a ranger in Arches National Park in 1956 and 1957. He wrote Desert Solitaire as a memoir of his time there and a reflection on the desert. In addition to our discussion of his book, we will also explore our own desert environment with a special tour of the Earl & Donnalee Holton Arid Garden.
Limited to 20 adults. RSVP to email@example.com or call 616-975-3144.
Fee: Included with admission
