Zooming in on Post-Colonialism in Art

Explore the artwork of two world renowned Black artists who address themes of post-colonialism, racial identity, and environmentalism with Curator of Arts Education, Amber Oudsema during a live and interactive discussion of El Anatsui's New World Map, now on display in our new Welcome Center, and Chakaia Booker's Rendezvous and Urban Excursion. Together we will practice looking closely, thinking deeply and asking questions to make meaning of these powerful works of art and these influential artists' work. This program is free and for learners 10 and up.
