Full-Time

 Assist Executive Chef with the daily operation of the kitchen including food production, menu development, purchasing, inventory, sales and cost controls. Oversee the activities of staff and monitor overall production and presentation of products in the absence of Executive Chef. Ensure food sanitation and quality standards are met. Assist with staff scheduling, training and leadership while reflecting the established standards for quality, productivity, professionalism, and customer service. Follow and lead by the organization’s Guiding Principles. Work independently as well as with effective direction and support for other staff members, volunteers and vendors.

Part-Time

This position is responsible for setting up, stocking, serving and dismantling catering and, or beverage services for the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Parks’ Food and Beverage Department.  Required to work independently as well as with effective direction and support for other staff members, volunteers, and vendors.

Seasonal and Internships

Provide support through food production and distribution of products and services for summer concert season. Produce menu items to-order with an emphasis on upscale quality and presentation.

The Gift Shop Intern will work on a wide variety of retail projects with a primary focus on organization and maintenance of the sales kiosk in the Lena Meijer Children’s Garden. Other opportunities may include sales, guest services, and working with volunteers. They will gain experience in the role and importance of a guest-centric model in a non-profit organization that will be of value in building their professional portfolio.
