The Children's Garden Assistant Coordinator assists in developing, coordinating and staffing activities and volunteers in the Lena Meijer Children's Garden.
To collaborate in the development, design, planning and implementation of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park exhibitions. This position requires a strong aesthetic sensibility, while working in a highly organized and thorough manner.
Position is responsible for making sure Meijer Gardens facilities are in outstanding condition each day and night as relates to cleaning and arrangement per building layouts and event diagrams.
The Gift Processing Specialist works closely with the Philanthropy and Membership team and the Accounting Department. The position is responsible for processing gifts and payments, preparing acknowledgements/receipts/pledge reminders, administering Corporate Partner benefit fulfilment, running various financial reports, updating the Raiser's Edge database and managing the hardcopy filing system.
Leadership of the DeVos-Keeler Gift Shop including managing the day-to-day operations and showcasing our merchandising skills to achieve established sales and net profit goals.
Responsible for adult tour promotion and marketing of Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park. Responsible for planning and goal achievement within the department. The MOD is responsible for the daily operations of Meijer Gardens within the Guest Services Department. This position is also responsible for alerting other department managers to issues needing immediate attention. Schedule will include weekends and weekday hours.
The Horticultural/Environmental Classes & Events Coordinator develops and oversees classes and off-site day trips for adults.
A support position for the James & Shirley Balk Café. Responsible for assisting with sales, food production, floor support and customer service through use of the organization's Guiding Principles. Required to work independently as well as with effective direction and support for other staff members, volunteers and vendors.
Oversee all DeVos-Keeler Gift Shop operations on weekends, evenings, holidays and special events as directed by the Gift Shop Manager/Buyer and assist on other shifts as needed.
Seasonal and Internships
Responsible for accurate counting of guests in and out of the main building and indoor spaces to adhere to current COVID-19 capacity restrictions. Schedule will include weekend and evening hours.
Responsible for setting up, stocking, serving and dismantling catering and/or beverage services for the Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Parks' Food and Beverage Department. Required to work independently as well as with effective direction and support for other staff members, volunteers and vendors.
Provide support through high-output food production and distribution of products and services for on-premise catering operations. Maintain food sanitation, quality standards and effective communication. Represent Chef in their absence and reflect the established standards for quality, productivity, professionalism and customer service.
