Full-Time

Provide support through food production and distribution of products and services for on-premise catering operation. Maintain food sanitation, quality standards and effective communication. Represent Chefs in their absence and reflect the established standards for quality, productivity, professionalism, and customer service. Work independently as well as with effective direction and support for other staff members, volunteers and vendors.

Responsible for supervising set ups, meal service, stocking and dismantling catering and or beverage services for Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park’s Hospitality Department. Required to work independently as well as with effective direction and support for other staff members, volunteers and vendors.

Specific but not limited to the Arid Garden, Interiorscape Plants within all public spaces, Café Floral Arrangements and Horticultural displays, Front and Information Desk Floral Arrangements, as well as the fulfillment of interdepartmental requests for floral. Performs all duties associated with design, installation, maintenance and care of the displays and collections. Seasonal designs, plant selection and ordering (as needed) and careful attention to accession record keeping and plant labeling are critical components of this position.

The Human Resources & Volunteers Intern may work on a wide variety of HR and Volunteer projects. The Intern will receive real-world experience and work samples to build his/her professional portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas to the team and actively engage with the organization. The Human Resources & Volunteer Intern will gain knowledge of the importance of volunteers in a non-profit organization along with a better understanding of human resources day-to-day operations.

The Volunteer Resources Intern may work on a wide variety of Volunteer management projects, which will vary seasonally. The Intern will receive real-world experience and work samples to build their professional portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas to the team and actively engage with the organization. The Volunteer Resources Intern will gain knowledge of the importance of volunteers in a non-profit organization along with a better understanding of non-profit administration day-to-day operations. For the summer semester, the Volunteer Resources Intern will focus on volunteer functions and sustainability at our Summer Concerts series.
