Of all the seasons, winter is most challenging to identify trees. Under expert guidance, you’ll learn tips and tricks for identification long after the leaves have fallen. Examine an assortment of specimens and discover the amazing variation in buds, leaf scars, and stem textures. Then head out to Meijer Gardens’ grounds, weather permitting, to receive personal instruction coupled with use of the Winter Tree Finder book—yours to keep—to discover how other characteristics, such as bark, fruit and habitat, can provide additional clues.
