Large Parrot Screams Color

Together with Claes Oldenburg, Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, Jim Dine helped define the Pop Art movement, which transformed the art world with the use of imagery from popular culture. The form of the heart has been a part of Dine’s artistic vocabulary since the mid-1960s. It has appeared prominently in his paintings, drawings, prints and sculpture.
