Leaping Gazelle (Rabbit, Hawk, Grouse, Otter)

This installation is composed of five sculptures by the renowned American figurative sculptor Marshall Fredericks. Part of a gift of 29 works by Fredericks from Fred and Lena Meijer, in anticipation of the opening of Meijer Gardens in 1995, it is one of the sculptor’s most celebrated compositions. The stylized form of the animals, sleek planes and strong contours are signature elements of the artist’s style.
