What to See
The 158-acre main campus may take up to two, four or eight hours to walk through depending on what you choose to explore. With a large variety of art and plants, Meijer Gardens has something to pique any interest. Explore some of the many great highlights we have to offer.

Meijer Gardens is open 362 days a year. We are closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Hours may change during special exhibitions or events.

All admission tickets are purchased at the Daniel & Pamella DeVos Ticketing Center in the Welcome Center. Unless otherwise noted, prices include admission to all special exhibitions. Other tickets (summer concert tickets, etc.) can be purchased from the Events Calendar page.
Museums for All is a national initiative to encourage museum attendance among people of all backgrounds.
EBT/WIC cardholders qualify for a reduced admission rate of $2 per person for up to four people. This discount is available during normal operating hours, please show your EBT/WIC card at the Daniel & Pamella DeVos Ticketing Center in the Welcome Center.

Admission benefits of the American Horticultural Society Reciprocal Admission Program allows free admission to the named card holder(s), or in the case of a household type of membership, two free admissions. Per program guidelines, reciprocal benefits are not extended to organizations within 90 miles of Meijer Gardens. As of January 2022, organizations not included are: The Bailey Museum, Leila Arboretum Society, Michigan State University Horticulture Gardens and Windmill Island Gardens. Only one reciprocal membership will be honored per visit. Please call if you have specific questions regarding the reciprocal program, as details may vary from your home institution.

- 10 person minimum, reservations required: For a group rate quote, please call the group tour office toll-free at 1-877-975-3171 weekdays from 9 am to 5 pm.

School Groups (PK-12)
- Reduced Admission Rate of $5 per student, additional programming options are available.
- Minimum two weeks advance registration for any field trip.

Shop & Eat

James & Shirley Balk Café
Enjoy a bite to eat at the James & Shirley Balk Café with its dazzling glass ceiling sculpture by renowned artist Dale Chihuly. Named Lena’s Garden in honor of Lena Meijer, the sculpture, comprised of dozens of individual blown-glass pieces, spans the ceiling in a spectrum of colors.

Meijer Gardens Gift Shop
The DeVos-Keeler Gift Shop offers original and locally made gift selections including a variety of house plants, high-quality tools, garden supplies, handmade pots, garden art, as well as a line of gardening books.
Groups & Tours
An exciting day-long excursion for groups, Meijer Gardens offers a variety of experiences including guided tours year-round and comfortable tram tours of the outdoor grounds (tram runs seasonally).

Adult Groups
There are a variety of options for groups of ten or more adults. From indoor guided tours to narrated tram tours, the experience will be educational and fun for all.

Activities for Families with Young Children
Early childhood education is a vital part of Meijer Gardens' overall education line-up. Children can enjoy a variety of educational programs and activities.

Student Field Trips
With 158 acres of indoor and outdoor gardens and over 200 sculptures, there are many ways to engage your students on a field trip. Explore our guided tours and program offerings below, or explore at your own pace with a self-led experience.

Scout Troops
The scouting tradition emphasizes a love of nature, an appreciation of the arts, and a commitment to the environment stewardship. Meijer Gardens shares these values and supports the Girl and Boy Scouts of America through discounted admission rates and special programs.

Youth and Family Nonprofit Grant Assistance Program
This program allows for up to 10 youth and family nonprofit groups each year to enjoy Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park at no cost.
