Business leader, philanthropist and arts supporter Stuart Padnos also became a sculptor well known throughout West Michigan. Most of his sculptures were made of metals gleaned from his family’s scrap metal business in Holland, Michigan. Flower forms like the large daisies and tulips were a favorite and exist in many sizes and variations. His unique contributions to the cultural and educational communities of West Michigan were deeply appreciated by Fred and Lena Meijer.
