The Communications department is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented student in his/her junior or senior year to join our team. The unpaid internship is approximately 20–25 hours per week. The intern should be majoring in communications, public relations, marketing, advertising, journalism or related field. An interest in gardening and/or the arts is preferred.

This position will monitor activities in an interactive exhibition for kids and families titled Tranquility Zone: A Japanese Garden Environment for Families and will begin on January 26, 2015.
This position will assist with the admissions desk, the adult and children’s trams, adult tours and concerts.
These positions will assist with the maintenance of indoor and outdoor gardens and displays. The work schedule will include a rotation of weekends and holidays, which will involve some greenhouse, grounds maintenance and landscaping responsibilities. Beginning April to May and ending mid to late August. Possibility for extended employment Fall & Winter.
This position will assist the Facility Rental Department to sell event spaces, assist with phone inquiries, plan, organize, and coordinate events and catering ranging from corporate, social, trade shows, weddings and concerts.
This position will work on a wide variety of HR and volunteer projects and gain a better understanding of both fields and the day-to-day operations.
