Full-Time

This position is responsible for making sure Meijer Gardens facilities are in outstanding condition each day and night as relates to cleaning and arrangement per building layouts and event diagrams.

Part-Time

This position is a support position for the Taste of the Gardens Café.  Responsible for assisting with sales, food production, floor support and customer service through use of the organization’s Guiding Principles.  Required to work independently as well as with effective direction and support for other staff members, volunteers, and vendors.

Responsible for setting up, stocking, serving and dismantling catering and, or beverage services for the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Parks’ Food and Beverage Department.  Required to work independently as well as with effective direction and support for other staff members, volunteers, and vendors.

Seasonal and Internships

Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park is seeking an intern to work September - December 2018. The intern will work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends. The Hospitality Intern will assist the Hospitality Department in showing, touring event spaces, assist with phone inquiries, plan, organize, coordinate, and execute events ranging from corporate meetings/outings, social, trade shows, wedding ceremonies and receptions. The Hospitality Intern will work in office and “on the floor” in addition to learning to use event management and diagramming software. The Hospitality Intern will assist the department from origination to execution by providing outstanding customer service for our guests.

The Volunteer Resources Intern may work on a wide variety of Volunteer and HR projects. This is an unpaid internship working approximately 10 - 15 hours per week. The Intern will receive real-world experience and work samples to build his/her professional portfolio. The ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas to the team and actively engage with the organization. The Volunteer Resources Intern will gain knowledge of the importance of volunteers in a non-profit organization along with a better understanding of human resources day-to-day operations.
