The Fundraising Events Manager plans and executes Meijer Garden’s two annual fundraising events (Great Gardens Party and Christmas Cabaret holiday gala) and serves as the liaison to special event committees. In addition, the Manager is responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding prospects and donors/sponsors for each event, the Christmas And Holiday Traditions Around the World exhibition and other programs, activities, and exhibitions.
Responsible for first communications with rental guests handling incoming phone calls, “walk-in” appointments and scheduling tours of the facility. Promotes, sells, and coordinates hospitality services, facilitate guests needs and assist with the flow of event management paperwork in a guest centric manner. The position is required to sell, coordinate, schedule and offer hands on support services to guests, vendors, and other associates
Responsible for setting up, stocking, serving and dismantling catering and, or beverage services for the Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Parks’ Food and Beverage Department. Required to work independently as well as with effective direction and support for other staff members, volunteers and vendors.
Oversee all Gift Shop operations on weekends, evenings, holidays, and special events as directed by the Gift Shop Manager/Buyer, and assist on other shifts as needed.
